We are seeking an Account Manager to support our growing direct business. In this role you will be responsible for delivering a positive customer experience while closing upgrade and renewal business. You will be held accountable for executing Paessler’s renewal and upgrade strategy. This position is based in Germany.


  • Consistent expansion of our footprints with the assigned existing key customers.
  • Determination of demand and identification of order potentials with the assigned customers.
  • Winning these opportunities - in the case of large opportunities with the help of an opportunity plan
  • Preparing and conducting negotiations up to the conclusion of the contract
  • Expansion of our contact network with the assigned existing customers.
  • Coordination with our strategic partners on assigned customers
  • Handover of customers without/with too little potential to the Inside Sales Team
  • Participation in trade fairs, events, service reviews to position and market our services and expand our network with the assigned existing customers
  • Work closely with marketing department to place our offerings/initiatives with existing customers
  • Creation and maintenance of an account development plan
  • Analysis of key sales figures and derivation of necessary measures
  • Responsible for customer participation in events / webcasts / roadshows / etc.
  • Coordination between specialist department and end customers, especially in the pre-sales area, as well as follow-up
  • Reporting in CRM


  • 2+ years of IT Direct Sales
  • Comfortable with all forms of outreach, including phone, emails and social
  • Excellent communication skills, an innovative mindset as well as superb negotiation skills round off your profile
  • Fluent in German, additional language skills are a plus
  • Familiar with LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Hubspot, and CRM Systems
  • Channel Sales experience a plus
  • Proven ability to work in an innovative and ever-changing environment
  • You are both a team player and a self-starter who is flexible, dedicated, highly motivated and results-driven
