Backend Software Developer (all genders) Go / Rust

We are currently looking for a Backend Software Developer (m/f/d) to join our agile AppServer team, which consists of six members. The team is developing a new RESTful API for PRTG, our most popular product, as automation and integrations are becoming increasingly important for our customers.

For this role, it is more important to us that you have a broad technology stack (Go, Rust, Delphi, etc.) than being an expert in a small sub-area. You should enjoy learning new technologies and then integrating them into our products. You can expect a modern working environment in which we attach great importance to you being able to contribute your skills.  It is not important to us where you work from.

YOUR TASKS

  • You work in an agile team that takes care of a new RESTful API within our product development
  • You focus on the needs of our enterprise customers and work on continuous product improvements
  • You are part of a cross-functional team that focuses on the further development of our network monitoring software with a focus on the enterprise sector
  • You plan, develop and modernise software features together with your team
  • You contribute your own ideas and participate in discussions, planning and their implementation together with the product owner
  • As a team, you take responsibility for architecture and code quality
  • You and the team work together to ensure the high quality and stability of the system

YOUR PROFILE

  • You are familiar with at least one modern programming language
  • You want to familiarise yourself with Rust, Golang and Python or develop your skills further
  • You are willing to familiarise yourself with the functionality of our network monitoring software
  • Over time, you will get to know our customers and their tasks, challenges and problems better and better and play an active role in finding solutions
  • You are well versed in the development of software architectures, the implementation of clean code principles and the application of design patterns
  • You are confident in using Git or similar and have a desire for a modern CI infrastructure with Gitlab and Jira
  • An agile mindset is a standard for you
