Business Development Manager APAC – in Kuala Lumpur

As an experienced Business Development Manager you support our international growth and accelerate our business development activities in the APAC region. You are responsible for shaping new business areas and work closely with our Product, Sales and Marketing teams to develop new markets and industries. This position is located in Kuala Lumpur and requires an unlimited work permit in Malaysia.


  • Identify active alliance and technology partner for APAC out of our existing portfolio 
  • Identify, attract and win new alliance and technology partners with significant reach in APAC 
  • Leverage our joint reach for building awareness, coordinate marketing, find/attend new events and recruit new resellers for our partner program 
  • Prioritize all activities aligning to our overall regional and global strategy 
  • Be the single point of contact for alliance and technology partner in APAC, as well as for coordination topics from our HQ in Germany 
  • Drive new topics into the APAC markets, e.g. IoT/OT, developing new and using existing tactics / materials from the HQ, always tightly aligned with the main stakeholders 
  • Localize sales pitch and value proposition for the regional markets in APAC 
  • Identify, attract and win new large partners and hand them over “ready to run” to the channel team 
  • Analyze and track competition landscape in APAC, cooperating with the stakeholders in Germany 
  • Identify and propose non-focus countries with high potential for further strategic development 


  • 7+ years experience in comparable business development roles 
  • Proven track record of target and quota achievement 
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin 
  • You are familiar with technologies around IT infrastructure, IoT/IIoT and OT 
  • You’re strong building your own structured strategies to achieve the set targets 
  • You enjoy working with people and have strong communication skills both verbally and in writing 
  • Comfortable with all forms of outreach, including phone, emails and social  
  • You have at least basic knowledge / experience in the field of marketing 
  • You are both a team player and a self-starter who is flexible, dedicated, highly motivated and results-driven 
  • Willigness to frequently travelling
  • Malaysian / Permanent residents only
