Customer Relationship Manager Asia-Pacific (APAC) - in Kuala Lumpur

To drive our customer experience across the APAC region, we are looking for an energetic and highly motivated Customer Relationship Manager. As a true professional on the phone, you will take care of our existing customers, build relationships, update them on product developments and offerings, and advise them on reasonable license extensions as well as renewals of their subscription/maintenance contracts.

This position is an individual contributor role with a regional focus on the APAC region and is based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.


  • You are responsible for the competent, professional advice of our customers regarding our products, prices and services.
  • By building a close relationship to our most valuable customers, you will be responsible for customer references that then can be used for sales / marketing purposes.
  • In addition, you advise our existing customers on reasonable license extensions as well as on the usefulness of extending their maintenance plan.
  • You will qualify and process incoming inquiries and contact leads regarding our products and licensing by e-mail, chat and phone.
  • You create quotes and process orders for end customers and regional resellers.
  • You will work closely with the regional sales and marketing team, also aligned with the international Customer Service & Retention team.
  • You will record all your activities accurately in our CRM system.


  • 5+ years sales/customer service experience in IT or telco/services industries.
  • Proven track record of target and quota achievement.
  • Full proficiency in English and Mandarin, also in Simplified Chinese. Additional Asian languages are highly welcome.
  • You are a real professional on the phone, you “live and love” taking care of customers and it is easy for you to empathize with the needs of our customers.
  • You have excellent communication skills and can communicate even complex issues in a clear and understandable way.
  • You are characterized by a high degree of commitment and ingenuity; you have an affinity for sales and enjoy working together with people.
  • Keeping a cool head even in stressful situations and being able to convince others with sound arguments round off your profile.
  • It is a requirement spending some time at our headquarter in Nuremberg, Germany for 1-2 weeks at a time (after COVID-19) as deemed necessary by your manager. In addition, occasional international travel may be required.
