Our Native Apps team is looking for talented developers to join the challenge in expanding our cross-platform desktop application. Built with commercially-licensed Qt/C++, this application is dedicated to the more than 50,000 power users around the world that work with Paessler PRTG, enabling them to take control of their large, complicated networks and their IT/OT infrastructure.


  • As part of our Native Apps team, you design, develop and maintain new features for our cross-platform Qt-based desktop application
  • You will have the opportunity to work on all aspects of the software, from idea to release, with your feedback, insights and technical concepts
  • You take responsibility for our high code and product quality
  • When necessary, you help our internal technical support by providing additional information
  • More context:
    • We use Qt 5, C++17
    • For our day-to-day work, we use Jira and Git
    • We use Qt Creator but you can use the IDE of your choice
    • You can choose between Windows or macOS
    • Other tools we have in use are Miro, Figma, Confluence
    • We work with a full Scrum framework of our own design
    • Besides regular pair programming sessions, we also do pair reviews and have regular mob programming sessions
    • The whole team has the chance to take part in a day-long system test before every release to ensure that we deliver quality


  • You have experience with Qt/Qt Widgets
  • Ideally, you know how to handle QML or you are willing to learn
  • You are confident in the daily use of developer tools such as Qt Creator, Jira and Git
  • You have experience with modern C++ on Windows, ideally on macOS and Linux, too 
  • You have good knowledge in software architecture, design patterns, clean code principles, and coding of complex software systems
  • You have just as much fun sharing your knowledge as when learning from colleagues
  • Code reviews and continuous integration are essential for you
  • You want to work on long-term solutions with your team
