We are currently looking for a Backend Software Developer with strong Rust and database experience to take our monitoring software to the next level. You will be part of an 8-person cross-functional team focused on our software for large and enterprise customers. For this role, it is important that you have a modern technology stack and enjoy learning new technologies and integrating them into our products. YOUR TASKS

  • You will work in an agile team within the product development for Paessler PRTG
  • You and a small, effective team will focus on the needs of our enterprise customers and work on continuous product improvements
  • You will plan, develop and modernize software features together with your team
  • You will contribute your own ideas and participate in discussions, planning and their implementation together with the product manager.
  • As a team, you take responsibility for architecture and code quality
  • You support the team with knowledge transfer, code reviews and testing of new features
  • You assist our technical support in 3rd-level cases
  • You and the team work together to ensure a high level of quality and stability of the system

YOUR PROFILE

  • You have strong experience in Rust and familiarity with modern programming practices
  • You have knowledge of AI/ML technologies or strong interest to learn and apply them in development
  • You have solid experience with databases and their integration into software, or you are very interested in learning about this and applying it in development.
  • You are keen to learn more of a messaging system and its integration into PRTG
  • You are willing to learn Delphi is an advantage
  • You are willing to learn about how our network monitoring software works
  • You are very familiar with the development of software architectures, the implementation of clean code principles and the application of design patterns
  • You are familiar with Git and are interested in a modern CI/CD infrastructure with GitLab and Jira
  • You have an agile mindset.
  • You communicate very well in English
