As a Cloud DevOps Engineer you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of cloud-based applications and services. This involves monitoring the operational performance of the application, identifying and resolving any issues, ensuring it meets service-level agreements, and maintaining security compliance.

YOUR TASKS

  • An inmportant note ahead: this position includes participating in an on-call rotation as the primary point of contact, initially during extended business hours and transitioning to 24x7 coverage as the team expands. 
  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to enable automated build, test, and deployment processes across AWS.
  • Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions such as CloudFormation or AWS CDK to ensure repeatable and reliable provisioning of cloud resources.
  • Collaborate closely with development teams to integrate DevOps practices from design to production support.
  • Monitor system health, performance, and security using tools such as AWS CloudWatch, Lumigo, and other logging/monitoring solutions.
  • Troubleshoot infrastructure and application issues in development, staging, and production environments, driving root cause analysis and resolution.
  • Lead and participate in incident response, ensuring timely communication, remediation, and post-incident reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with security best practices by automating vulnerability scanning, patch management, and secrets management.
  • Optimize cloud costs by evaluating usage patterns and implementing FinOps best practices.
  • Maintain clear documentation of system architecture, automation processes, and deployment pipelines for knowledge sharing and audits.

YOUR PROFILE

  • Experience managing daily operations in AWS or multi-cloud environments, with familiarity in other cloud vendors such as Azure or GCP being a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with CloudOps tools (e.g., AWS CloudWatch, AWS Config) for monitoring, compliance, and governance.
  • Proficiency in automation scripting using PowerShell and Bash, with some experience in Python.
  • Good understanding of Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) concepts; hands-on experience with Python CDK is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD principles and DevOps workflows, with the ability to support deployment automation.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to technical challenges.
  • Willingness and ability to participate in an on-call rotation to ensure smooth operations and rapid incident response.
  • Comfortable collaborating with Product Managers on product strategy, roadmaps, and project planning.
  • In this role, you will deliver and support public and private cloud platforms, collaboration tools, and shared infrastructure services. You will also act as an escalation point for the Service Desk, providing Level 3 support for incident and service request resolution.
  • A focus on automation and continuous improvement is expected to drive operational efficiency and add business value.
