Director Cloud Development & Operations (all genders)

YOUR TASKS
- Strategic leadership of the cloud development and cloud operations areas, including direct leadership of divisional managers
- Setting the technical direction, architectural standards and operational excellence across all cloud platforms
- Developing and implementing scalable processes to improve service quality, reliability and cost efficiency
- Managing resource allocation, budget planning and operational planning to achieve business objectives
- Building strong relationships with stakeholders, understanding their needs and translating them into technical requirements
- Fostering cross-functional collaboration between development, operations and business units
- Leading the continuous improvement of our cloud services, including performance optimization and security enhancements
- Monitoring industry trends to ensure the competitiveness and innovative strength of our technical strategies
- Fostering talent development and organizational growth within teams
YOUR PROFILE
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field, Master's degree preferred
- Minimum 12+ years' professional experience in relevant IT areas such as software development, technical pre-sales and/or cloud solutions, with experience leading technical integration projects and software development teams a prerequisite, including at least 5 years in a leadership role
- Proven success in leading and developing managers and technical teams across multiple functions
- The position requires outstanding leadership skills with a proven track record of managing technical teams of varying sizes, developing junior managers, and the ability to create a performance driven culture and effectively lead and develop people through complex change processes
- Extensive experience in a customer-facing role with the ability to translate customer requirements into technical solutions
- Technical background in cloud architecture (AWS, Azure or GCP) and software development methodologies
- Proven experience in systems integration
- Good understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure-as-Code
- Understanding of agile frameworks and their practical application at scale
- Experience in managing operating budgets and resource planning - Strong commercial awareness and business acumen
- Language skills: German and English
