At Paessler, we build PRTG, a network, cloud, and IoT monitoring software trusted by more than 500,000 users worldwide. To continuously evolve and improve our product, we are looking for a passionate software engineer to join our team on a long-term basis. Why this position is important: Our software collects performance data from a wide range of technologies and protocols implemented in different programming languages. To ensure that we continue to provide high-quality solutions in the future, we rely on a dedicated team that works creatively and purposefully to collect performance data efficiently and reliably.  

Please note that we can only consider applications from permanent residents of Krakow, Poland. We offer full-time employment contracts only. B2B and freelancing arrangements are not available for this role. 

YOUR TASKS

  • Work in a small, agile team that contributes directly to product development. 
  • Develop new features and components for our sensors in C++ across platforms. 
  • Migrate existing features and sensors from our old codebase to our modern architecture. 
  • Contribute your ideas and implement them in coordination with your team and the product owner. 
  • Take ownership of high code and product quality. 
  • Help our technical support team with 3rd-level cases when needed. 
  • Occasionally work on existing Delphi code or contribute to new developments in Rust. 

YOUR PROFILE

  • At least 5 years solid hands-on experience in C++ projects, ideally you already worked with C++23 
  • A firm belief that Unit Testing, Code Reviews, and Continuous Integration are essential 
  • Confidence with version control in Git 
  • A curiosity for new technologies and protocols 
  • Comfortable working on both Windows and Linux 
  • A long-term mindset with an eye for overall architecture
